EQUESTRIAN SIGNS

Magnetic Signs for Horse & Equestrian Businesses

Custom vehicle magnets for boarding barns, riding instructors, farriers, equine transporters, and mobile veterinary practices.

Why equestrian businesses use vehicle magnets

Equestrian businesses are mobile by nature. Your truck or SUV is often the first thing a potential client sees at a show, on a farm call, or parked at a feed store. A magnetic sign turns that vehicle into a moving advertisement for your services — whether you offer boarding, riding lessons, training, farrier work, or equine transport. Because the signs are removable, you can take them off when using the vehicle for personal driving and put them back on for work.

Where magnetic signs work — and where they don't

Magnetic signs adhere to smooth, flat, ferrous (magnetic) metal surfaces. Most steel vehicle doors and steel-bodied truck panels are compatible. A small magnet — such as a refrigerator magnet — can check for basic magnetic attraction on a panel. However, that test only confirms the surface is magnetic; it does not establish that the panel is suitable for a vehicle sign. The entire sign must lie flat against a suitable smooth surface, with full contact across the whole magnet. Curves, body lines, trim, handles, rivets, or textured finishes prevent full contact and can cause the sign to detach at speed. Before ordering, measure the flat area where the full sign will sit and confirm the surface is smooth and uninterrupted.

Magnetic signs will not adhere to aluminum, fiberglass, plastic, or composite body panels. Many horse trailers and some modern truck doors use aluminum or composite construction. Magnets are designed for temporary, removable use on compatible vehicle panels — they are not a substitute for permanently mounted signage on trailers or non-magnetic surfaces. What to include on your equestrian sign

  • Business or farm name
  • Key services — boarding, lessons, training, farrier, transport, veterinary
  • Phone number, large enough to read at a glance
  • Website or social media page
  • Service area if you travel to clients
  • A QR code linking to your booking page or website

Design tips for readability

People see your sign for just a few seconds at horse shows, on farm calls, or in parking lots. Use high-contrast colors — dark text on a light background or vice versa — and large sans-serif fonts. Keep your business name and phone number at the top of the sign, where they are read first. Avoid small text or intricate details that disappear at a distance; a clean, bold layout reads better from a moving vehicle.

Choosing the right size

Common sizes for vehicle door magnets range from 12" × 18" to 24" × 18". A 12" × 18" sign fits most car doors and smaller truck doors. For full-size pickup doors, 18" × 24" or 24" × 18" gives more room for your information. Measure the flat magnetic area of your door before ordering, and account for curves, handles, and body trim that could interfere with adhesion.
